Gene Snow, also known as "the snow capped cowboy", is a self-taught rhythm guitarist since age fourteen.  He played in high school bands and neighborhood groups and then went on to perform at Holiday Inn Clubs as a solo act while in college.  Then, as he started his family, life took on a new meaning, and he began working in church music.  As a choir member, solo artist, and music director, he broadened his musical talents.  With his spiritual life on solid ground, he began to pursue his love of music with no reservations.

Gene's 1st house in Nashville

Gene is a good old "down home" country boy, originally from Wichita Falls, Texas.  Back in 1976 he was transplanted to Texarkana where he made his home for over twenty years.  In late 1991, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee for a year and a half where he developed music business relationships that are invaluable today as he continues his music career.

Gene has just completed a recording session in Nashville that may include a chart song or two.  With the resurgence of bluegrass music due to the recent popularity of the film, "O Brother, Where Art Thou" a couple of record companies are interested in signing a recording contract with Gene.

Paula & Gene

He sings with a strong and serious message much of the time, but has a happy, fun-loving spirit that is always well received and loved.  With his sincere exchange of feeling with the audience, he illuminates a positive charisma, which is hard to deny.

He and his sister, Paula Reid have written several songs that are being introduced as the soul of an artist who has the potential of becoming a dynamic name in country and gospel music.  He released a single in Southern Gospel music in 1996, "Fire On the Mountain in Galilee" that got some serious radio air play.

Gene and Tillman Franks

Gene Snow toured with the Country Legend, Tillman Franks, for six years in Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana.  This was probably the most important years of his musical training and grooming.

With a wife and kids, Gene chose to stay close to home while they raised their children.  Now, with all the kids raised and blessings from his wife, he is now ready to pursue his passion in music.  With over ten years experience in radio he has developed good personal skills in live programming, outside media sales and creating promotions that work.  He is currently with Cumulus Broadcasting in Temple, Texas.  He has a Sunday morning program from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on KTEM 1400AM.

With pastoral skills and training, Gene is able to met people where they're at in their personal spiritual life.  With a diverse background in life, he is also able to respect each man and woman in their spiritual quest, and help people in their time of need.

With the broad range of musical styles, Gene is able to appeal to a large group of people.  Music is a tool used to mend broken hearts, emotions and spirits.  When emotional and spiritual needs of a person are met, the quality of life improves.  One of my primary purposes is to help people to meet these needs thru music.
